2025 Australian Pontiac Nationals
It’s all systems go for the 2025 Australian Pontiac Nationals being held at Redcliffe in Queensland, a short distance outside the capital city of Brisbane. A key reason for holding the Nationals in this location is the size of the local Pontiac population. South East Queensland has the largest concentration of Pontiacs anywhere in Australia with over 600 registered cars within a 100km radius of Redcliffe. As a result we’re building an event capable of featuring at least 200 of them, which will make it the largest ever gathering of the marque outside of the USA. Can you afford to miss this?

The event is being staged over the Anzac Day long weekend in April 2025, commencing on the afternoon of Friday the 25th. Our first feature event is at Lakeside Park on Saturday April 26, the first ever ’All Pontiac Day’ held at the historic racetrack. On Sunday April 27, Pelican Park at Clontarf will be the site of a waterfront car show. We’re planning for 200 Pontiacs at both events. Supporting these, we’ve hired Redcliffe Showgrounds to be a social hub for the Nationals, including our night activities. It will also be the initial registration point. We have exclusive use of a paved carpark on site enabling more showing of the cars as well as a base for local cruising on the Peninsula. Entrant numbers will be capped by the size of the Showgrounds hall, but both of our feature events are open to non-entrants in their Pontiacs, building the size up to the 200 mark.
It’s also worth noting that while the Nationals are being hosted by the Pontiac Car Club of Australia’s Queensland Chapter, we welcome entries from all Pontiacs, as well as sister marques Oakland and GMC. You don’t have to be a member of the host club or its sister interstate chapters to qualify. It’s pretty clear based on this that demand is going to be high to secure one of the entrant positions being offered. And in addition to the local Pontiac numbers we already have strong interest from interstate Pontiac owners and those in country Queensland.
Entries are open until February 28. Entry fees are affordable at just under $200 for the base entry, with additional adults at $20 and kids at $10. We expect with these prices, it will be a popular event.
There’s a range of accommodation options in Redcliffe and we’ve listed the motels in a download. But there’s also a good range in the nearby Brisbane northern suburbs, also listed. As a bonus, Redcliffe Showgrounds also offers accommodation for motorhomes and caravans, so you can stay in the middle of the event!
Affordability has been a key criteria in the development of the Nationals, recognising the current economic climate. To enable more people to fit into our night socials, we’ve removed meals from the schedule and hence the space required for tables. There’s a good range of food providers in the nearby area, and our night events will start later to allow entrants dining time. Removing the meal aspect will also provide entrants with a wider range of choice as well as options to suit every budget. Light refreshments will also be available for purchase at the Showgrounds from food trucks we’ll be bringing in. The Lakeside Park feature event costs are similarly not included in the entry, but will be in line with their regular theme day offering with a $10 site admission fee per person as the minimum charge. What is included in your entry is a Nationals polo shirt, souvenir entrant number plate, admission to our Pelican Park show as well as an observation run, Friday night welcome and Saturday and Sunday night gatherings.
Don’t delay, reserve your spot at what is likely to be a record-breaking Nationals!
